Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made to stay at The Ell Self-Catering Accommodation, whether made via our website, email, over the phone or through third parties. Please read these carefully as they contain important information about your stay with us. Don’t hesitate to contact us if there is anything you wish to discuss regarding your booking or these terms and conditions.
By making a booking the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:
- He/she/they has read these Booking Terms and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them.
- He/she/they consents to our use of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is authorised on behalf of all persons on the booking to disclose their personal details to us.
- He/ she/they is over 18 years of age.
- He/she/they accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.
Price
All prices are inclusive of:
- Oil central heating and electricity.
- Bed linen and towels but we ask you to bring your own beach towels.
- Wi-Fi connection.
- A welcome selection of local produce.
- Coffee, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper are supplied for your initial stay.
No parties or events are permitted – the maximum number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed four and only those listed on the booking form can occupy the property.
We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.
Booking Conformation
On submitting a booking via our online booking system, you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the address you provide on the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when you receive a letter showing confirmation of the dates sent to you by email or post.
The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking.
Payment
A deposit of 50% is required to at the time of booking and the remainder payable 7 days before your arrival date.
Cancellation
All cancellations must be notified in writing.
50% of paid prepayments are refundable when cancelled 5 days before arrival or earlier.
0% is refundable if cancelled within 5 days of arrival.
We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.
Non-Availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control.
Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
Insurance
We strongly advise that you take out holiday cancellation insurance at the time of booking the holiday, so you are covered with immediate effect for all eventualities, including cancellation, delays, medical expenses and loss of luggage. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Arrival and Departure
Booking start days can be flexible depending on availability.
Occupation is from 3pm on the day of arrival and the property must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. All times are local.
Please dispose of any unconsumed food, empty bins and clean dirty dishes before departure.
Any problem or complaint which the client may have concerning their holiday must be immediately reported directly to us and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us at the time and only reported after the client has returned from holiday will not be considered by the proprietor.
Damage and Care of the Property
In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. A pre-authorisation security deposit of 20% is held on 0 days before arrival and voided 2 days after departure.
Damages and breakages – please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them.
If you notice something is missing or damaged in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action.
If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you may be charged for any loss or damage.
We ask you to leave the property in a clean condition. We reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.
Please note that if any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement locks will be charged to you.
Guests may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the property, even free of charge.
We shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the building or grounds.
No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, water, internet connection or television service.
Please do not move any furniture from one room to another.
Please remove shoes when entering the house.
Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.
Please make sure you switch off lights, heating, or any electrical appliances when you go out.
Candles and other naked flames are not allowed inside the house.
There is a BBQ supplied for your use but please only use on the gravelled area and away from the boiler house. We ask that only the specifically designated barbecue utensils are used and that the BBQ is cleaned after use.
Please don’t take any bath towels with you to the beach.
No Smoking Policy
The property has a strict No Smoking Policy, which includes vaping, inside the property and adjacent to the oil tanks.
Failure to adhere to this will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments.
Any damage or extra cleaning caused by smoking will be at the expense of you.
Children
Young children and infants are welcome. A travel cot, Moses basket and high-chair are available on request. You must accept responsibility for the safety of your children.
Guests are reminded that hedges and fences have thorns and wire so please take care.
Never leave children without adult supervision.
Right to Entry
We may request entry, at reasonable times, to the property for the purpose of leaving fresh linen, inspection or to carry out maintenance.
Website
We make every effort to ensure that the information on our website is accurate. However, we reserve the right to make small changes and we accept no liabilities for minor inaccuracies.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our contractors while acting in the course of employment.
Data
All data collected during this booking may be kept on a computer.
Law
This contract shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland and any disputes arising between us shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
This property is privately owned and is our home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities.
